SPEAKEASY
INSTRUCTIONS
- Click
on Speakeasy Café (http://morrison.wsu.edu/studio/)
- Under
Speakeasy Logins, click log in.
- Click
the cursor in the log in box and type nmc followed (with no space or period
in between) by your last name as one word in lower case.
(e.g. If your last name is Rosario you would type: nmcrosario)
- Click
the cursor in the password box and type border in lower case.
- Then
click the box “log me in please”
- The
window that opens will indicate, “You are a member of the following
Speakeasy Studios and Cafes”. Click
the studio that you belong to (“Crossing Urban Borders/ July 10-14,
2000”).
- When
the studio page opens, click “Check Out the Speakeasy Café Playbill” in
the big window.
- Click
the table under the event where you want to post.
Initially, for your first post, you will go to the event one --
“Pedagogy” and the table titled “thinking about our
teaching.” When the window
opens, scroll down to the box “Add writing to the speakeasy café for this
table”. Click the
cursor in the box entitled “title of your writing”.
Type in a title. Next
bring your cursor to the big box and type in (or paste) your text. When finished, go the bottom and make sure to click the
box “add this writing to the Writers’ Exchange”.
- Once
you post, you will get a message that says, “well, now, thanks for
sharing”. In the last
paragraph of this message you are invited to either review your writing or
to click and “return to your speakeasy café table”.
If you return to the table, you will see your writing and that of
colleagues. You can click on
anybody’s writing and if you wish respond to it.
- When
you are finished in the Speakeasy Café, make sure to log out.
Click “log out” in the upper left frame.
Then click “log me out please” next to your name.
